  • Lauren Kuenzel, GreenPinkies, LLC, Fayetteville, AR

Lauren, an engineering graduate of the University of Arkansas and her mother Kim made the decision to purchase a 1970’s brick ranch near the U of A campus and make it available for university visitors. The project began with extensive research to determine how best to transform the house from its inefficient state of disrepair into a model of energy efficiency while preserving the original look of the home and correcting moisture issues, air leakage, and everything that goes with them.

Lauren will tell the story of their experiences in looking for “correct” advice, weighing decisions and selections, learning on the job, finding and convincing trade contractors to participate, and the satisfaction of the accomplishment.
